Ashton Texture Nile

Ashton Lane Fabric

Ashton Texture Nile combines a cool blue-grey ground with pale sage highlights in a densely textured, irregularly mottled weave. The tonal contrast gives the surface a softly weathered, quietly atmospheric character.

About this fabric

The close woven texture is clearly visible across the swatch, with tiny raised-looking intersections creating a tactile, granular finish. Cool blue-grey areas form the deeper structure of the design, while pale sage-grey passages catch the light and prevent the colourway from feeling flat. Its broken, organic pattern has no hard geometry, giving the fabric a composed but naturally varied appearance. As a catalogued fabric rather than a printed paper, this colourway would bring subtle depth wherever a textural textile is required.

How to use it

Use the cool Nile colourway to temper warm timber, chalky walls or natural stone, particularly on a tailored chair, relaxed sofa or full-length curtain. Pair it with muted sage, blue-grey and soft ivory rather than highly saturated accents.

A softly weathered blue-grey and sage weave that brings quiet movement to upholstery or curtains.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Ashton Texture Nile without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
