About this fabric

The close-up shows a compact, tactile weave with small irregular loops and a subtly mottled finish. Silver-grey fibres are mixed with darker grey and gentle taupe-green notes, creating a softened, mineral-like tone rather than a bright metallic silver. The dense surface reads as a substantial upholstery cloth, making the texture an important part of its visual character. No performance features are noted for this fabric.

How to use it

Use Orkney Silver on an armchair, headboard or sofa where its cool silver-grey tone can sit alongside chalky whites, pale timber and deeper charcoal accents. Its nubby texture also works well with smooth leather or crisp plain linens for quiet contrast.

A cool, tactile silver-grey boucle for adding understated texture to upholstered seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
