Liso Black

Liso Sateen Fabric

Liso Black is a near-black plain sateen with an exceptionally deep, even appearance. The surface catches the light very subtly, revealing just enough tonal movement to keep the black from looking flat.

About this fabric

This colourway reads as a cool, ink-like black rather than a softened charcoal, giving it a strong and quietly dramatic presence. Its plain surface has a close, smooth-looking texture with a low sateen gleam that becomes visible as the light shifts across the swatch. No composition, width, rub-test or other performance specification has been supplied for this exact fabric. With no motif competing for attention, the depth of the black and its restrained lustre remain the defining features.

How to use it

Use Liso Black against pale stone, chalk or warm timber to create crisp contrast, or layer it with other dark neutrals for a more enveloping room. Its subtle sheen is especially effective where changing daylight can pick out the surface without introducing a strong pattern.

Use this deep black sateen to bring polished contrast to upholstered seating, curtains or layered tonal schemes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
