About this fabric

The 2002/50 colourway reads as deep charcoal rather than a flat black, with fine cool-toned curls lifting across the surface. Its dense, irregular loops create a nubby, softly flecked appearance with visible depth and movement. No composition, width, usage or rub-test specification has been supplied, and no performance features are noted. From the substantial-looking texture shown, it reads most naturally as an upholstery fabric.

How to use it

Use this near-black charcoal colourway on a statement armchair, sofa or ottoman where its curly texture can add depth without introducing a pattern. Balance the cool blue-grey highlights with warm timber, ivory or muted stone tones.

Pair the near-black charcoal texture with pale timber, brushed metal or soft grey upholstery accents.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
