Ocala Stripe Black Earth /Chalk

Indoor Outdoor Weaves II OutdoorHAF0624-06

Ocala Stripe in Black Earth / Chalk combines chalky, almost white ground stripes with dense black-earth bands in a tactile, closely woven outdoor textile. The narrow horizontal pattern has a softly irregular, peppered edge rather than a stark printed line.

About this fabric

This colourway balances warm black-earth shading against a clear chalk ground, giving the stripe depth while retaining a bright overall read. The fine woven bars are visibly textured, with small repeated black-and-chalk marks that soften the graphic effect. It has a 141 cm usable width, a 6 cm vertical pattern repeat and a 1.5 cm horizontal repeat. At 563 gsm and 20 threads per cm, it is a substantial outdoor fabric suited to hard-wearing upholstery applications.

How to use it

Use the black-earth and chalk contrast on outdoor sofas, dining-seat cushions or a compact upholstered stool, then echo the chalk with pale paving or stone and temper the darker stripe with natural timber.

Use this substantial black-and-chalk stripe on outdoor seating, cushions or footstools for graphic contrast with pale stone and warm timber.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Ocala Stripe Black Earth /Chalk without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
