Ocala Stripe Iris/Chalk

Indoor Outdoor Weaves II OutdoorHAF0624-01

Ocala Stripe Iris/Chalk combines cool iris-blue and chalk in a finely scaled horizontal stripe. The woven surface gives the colourway a softly textured, outdoor-ready appearance, with the pale chalk bands keeping the blue light and clear.

About this fabric

The swatch shows alternating iris-blue and chalk bands, broken by tiny vertical tooth-like woven marks that create a crisp, measured rhythm across the width. Its cool blue has a slightly lilac cast, while the chalk sections soften the contrast rather than making the stripe feel stark. At 563 gsm and 141 cm usable width, this is a substantial outdoor textile well suited to upholstery. The pattern repeats every 6 cm vertically and 1.5 cm horizontally, and the 20 threads per cm contribute to its closely textured appearance.

How to use it

Use the cool iris tone on outdoor cushions, dining chairs or a compact bench, then echo it with pale stone, chalk or weathered grey surrounding finishes. The small-scale stripe is particularly effective where a little blue structure is wanted without a dominant motif.

Use this cool iris-and-chalk stripe on outdoor seating where its fine horizontal rhythm can add colour without overwhelming the setting.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
