About this fabric

The swatch reads as a deep, cool indigo softened by charcoal-black shading rather than a clear, bright blue. Its close, irregular surface is made up of short curled fibres, creating a fuzzy, highly tactile texture across the whole design. Subtle blue highlights appear between the darker areas, giving the almost-black ground depth without introducing a distinct motif. This weighty-looking, densely textured textile is particularly suited to upholstery where its surface can be seen and felt.

How to use it

Use this colourway on a generous armchair, headboard or sofa when you want a cool, atmospheric anchor. Pair the indigo-black tone with pale timber, chalky neutrals or brushed metal to bring out its understated blue variation.

Use this deep indigo-black textile to bring dense, tactile depth to contemporary upholstery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
