Gion Carbon is a near-black charcoal textile with an irregular, cracked-block design worked across its surface. Its dark tone absorbs much of the light, while the raised ribbing adds subtle movement and depth.

About this fabric

The broad, uneven blocks are outlined by dark fissure-like lines, creating an abstract pattern reminiscent of fractured stone. Fine horizontal ribbing runs through the charcoal ground and catches the light softly, bringing definition to the otherwise shadowed colourway. The overall effect is dense, architectural and distinctly tactile rather than flat. No performance features are noted for this fabric.

How to use it

Use Gion Carbon on a sculptural armchair, statement sofa or headboard where its deep charcoal tone can act as a dramatic anchor. Pair it with pale stone, smoked wood and brushed metal to draw out the contrast between its shadowy ground and subtly catching ribbed texture.

Use this deep charcoal colourway to give an upholstered piece a dramatic, textural presence.
