Quetzal Gold

Mythica Fabrics FabricCCF0833-02

Quetzal Gold brings a warm, illustrated richness to the Mythica collection, with ochre-gold birds, brown plumage and curling botanical branches set across an ivory ground. The dense arrangement gives the colourway a lively, collected depth rather than a simple two-tone effect.

About this fabric

The ivory background makes the ochre gold birds and elongated feather details particularly clear, while deep brown, charcoal and muted rust accents add depth throughout the design. Finely drawn foliage, rosettes, insects and curling branches weave between the larger birds, creating a richly detailed surface with strong visual movement. At 286 gsm, this is a versatile mid-weight fabric suited to both upholstery and drapery. The 137 cm usable width and 68 cm vertical by 137 cm horizontal pattern repeat provide generous scope for planning the placement of the larger motifs.

How to use it

Pair Quetzal Gold with warm ivory, tobacco brown and aged brass for a layered scheme that brings out its sunlit ochre tones. Use it on an occasional chair, relaxed curtains or cushions where the detailed bird pattern can be seen at close range.

Use this warm gold colourway to bring an richly illustrated, jewel-like accent to upholstery, curtains or cushions.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Quetzal Gold without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
