About this fabric

The colourway is led by aged ochre-gold cactus shapes, while the rust-red owl and bird feathers give the design a warmer, deeper centre. Fine black outlines, muted grey foliage and soft brown marks create contrast against the pale ground without making the overall impression harsh. At 347 gsm, this is a substantial fabric suited to upholstered applications, with a 137 cm usable width. The pattern repeats over 73.9 cm vertically and 137 cm horizontally, so the owl and cactus placement should be considered carefully when cutting.

How to use it

Use Frontier Linen Gold on a statement armchair, headboard or occasional seating where the rust owl and gold cactus can be shown at full scale. Balance its warm, lively palette with plain ivory, tobacco brown or muted rust textiles.

Use this warm, illustrated colourway for statement upholstery, paired with ivory, rust or deep brown accents.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Frontier Linen Gold without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
