About this fabric

This 340gsm velvet has a substantial feel suited to upholstery, with a 138cm usable width for planning larger pieces. The pink ground reads as soft coral rather than sugary pink, giving the busy animal design a warm, muted depth while the dark outlines and green foliage add strong contrast. Its large-scale composition has an 87.2cm vertical repeat and 69cm horizontal repeat, so the giraffes, palms and birds need thoughtful placement on a chair, headboard or sofa. The velvet surface lends the coral colour a gentle change in tone as the light moves across the cloth.

How to use it

Use the warm coral-pink ground as the room’s colour anchor on a statement chair or upholstered bed, then echo its deep greens and charcoal-black markings in cushions, painted wood or foliage. Keep surrounding fabrics relatively quiet so the giraffes, zebra and palm leaves remain clearly legible.
