Alaska Hollyhock is a bold, saturated pink-purple plain with a velvety-looking surface and a soft matte glow. The colour reads rich and dramatic, with a deeper magenta edge that lifts under light.

About this fabric

This Hollyhock colourway in the Alaska Collection is a plain fabric with a smooth, lightly brushed appearance and an even finish across the swatch. Made from 100% polyester, it is specified for severe contract upholstery and drapes, with a 45,000 severe contract rub test, so it is designed to handle demanding use as well as provide a clean decorative surface. The 146cm width and 300gsm weight give it a substantial, versatile handle, while the 438gsm per linear metre specification underlines its robust character. Visually, the shade is a vivid plum-pink with a cool berry undertone and a soft depth that keeps it from looking flat.

How to use it

Use this strong pink-purple on statement seating, banquettes or curtains where the colour can bring energy without a pattern competing for attention. It works especially well with dark wood, bronze details and pale neutral walls to let the tone stand out.

Use with charcoal, soft grey or warm metallics to balance the rich pink tone.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
