Mythica Fabrics FabricCCF0827-01

Owl of Athena Embroidery Gold places rows of spread-winged owls across a warm ivory-cream ground. Gold and tan embroidery, outlined with dark brown and black, gives the pattern a quietly theatrical presence.

About this fabric

The visible ground is a fine, lightly textured ivory weave, while each owl is picked out in burnished gold, tan, dark brown and black. The repeated motif has a 16cm vertical repeat and 21.5cm horizontal repeat, creating an even rhythm across the cloth without overwhelming the pale background. At 292gsm and 129cm usable width, this is a versatile mid-weight suitable for both upholstery and drapery. Its stated standard length is 35m, useful when planning a coordinated scheme with consistent motif placement.

How to use it

Use this warm ivory-and-gold colourway on relaxed curtains to let the owls read clearly against daylight, or on an occasional chair where the dark detailing can act as a tailored accent.

Use the warm ivory ground and gold owl embroidery to add character to curtains, occasional chairs or cushions.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
