Mademoiselle Oro

Satin fabrics Fabric030

Mademoiselle Oro presents a warm oro-gold surface with the fluid, reflective character of satin. The plain face shifts gently from honeyed gold to deeper ochre where the cloth turns or catches less light.

About this fabric

The swatch is an unpatterned field of rich golden yellow, with a subtle ochre depth most visible towards the lower left. Fine horizontal grain lines run across the smooth face, giving the surface a delicate textile definition rather than a completely glassy finish. A brighter band gathers along the lower edge, emphasising the cloth’s softly liquid sheen. Its fine, fluid appearance makes this satin especially natural for drapery, where the warm gold can fall into gentle tonal changes.

How to use it

Use Mademoiselle Oro for full-length curtains or a Roman blind in a room that needs warm, mellow luminosity. Pair its ochre-gold tone with ivory, walnut or muted olive to keep the sheen refined rather than overly bright.

Use its warm ochre-gold sheen to bring a softly luminous, decorative finish to curtains or relaxed Roman blinds.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
