Omega Velvet 4 Cobalt is a deep, saturated blue velvet with a smooth, even pile and a quietly refined finish. In this colourway, the surface reads inky and cool, with subtle shifts of light across the nap.

About this fabric
This plain velvet from Linwood’s Omega IV collection has a dense, tactile handle that suits the strong, plush look visible in the swatch. The cobalt shade is bold but not bright, sitting between navy and electric blue with a richer, more formal depth in shaded areas. With a 137cm width, 60% polyester, 28% recycled polyester, 8% acrylic and 4% viscose composition, and a 100,000 Martindale rub test, it is specified for contract and general domestic upholstery as well as curtains and loose covers. It is flame resistant to BS5852 Part 1 Source 0 and 1, and the stain-resistant finish plus 30°C care make it a practical choice for high-use interiors.
How to use it
Use this cobalt velvet on a sofa, ottoman or dining chair to add crisp colour against pale plaster, stone or warm timber. It also makes sharp curtains where the deep blue pile can hold the light and give a room a more tailored edge.
A rich cobalt velvet that brings crisp depth to tailored seating and statement pieces.

Pairs well with
Omega Velvet 4 Cobalt is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
