Kalpa Cobalt

Indira Fabrics FabricCCF0849-03

Kalpa Cobalt presents a closely packed geometric lattice in cool cobalt blue, softened by pale blue and chalky light accents. The fine woven surface gives the compact pattern a quietly tactile finish.

About this fabric

The small linked motifs create an intricate all-over rhythm, with pale outlines standing clearly against the saturated cobalt-blue ground. The repeat measures 19.8 cm vertically by 17.2 cm horizontally, so the design reads as a continuous, finely scaled pattern rather than an open trellis. At 252 gsm and 38 threads per cm, it has the weight and close construction of a versatile mid-weight fabric. Its usable width is 137 cm, while the lighter woven marks add depth and keep the cool blue colourway from appearing flat.

How to use it

Pair Kalpa Cobalt with chalky whites, pale grey-blue and natural timber for a fresh, tailored scheme. Its compact repeat can bring controlled pattern to a statement chair, bench seat or full-length curtains.

Use the cool cobalt ground and pale geometric repeat to bring crisp pattern to upholstery or curtains.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Kalpa Cobalt without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
