About this fabric

The colourway combines a muted antique-gold ground with softly contrasting cream geometric lines, giving the pattern depth without a harsh black-and-white effect. Its compact interlocking motif repeats at 19.8 cm vertically and 17.2 cm horizontally, so the design reads as a consistent all-over texture across the width. At 252 gsm with 38 threads per centimetre, this is a substantial mid-weight fabric with a visibly fine, closely made surface. The usable width is 137 cm.

How to use it

Use Kalpa Antique to bring warmth to a neutral room, particularly on an occasional chair, dining seat or tailored blind where its small cream-and-gold geometry can be appreciated up close. Pair it with chalky ivory, oat and aged timber rather than bright white to preserve its softly antique character.

A versatile mid-weight textile whose warm antique-gold ground and precise small-scale geometry suit both upholstered pieces and soft furnishings.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
