Azul Charcoal

Tome FabricL9495-06

Azul Charcoal shows a tight woven check in deep charcoal and black, with just enough tonal lift to reveal the pattern. The overall effect is restrained and architectural rather than high-contrast.

About this fabric

This colourway of Tome has a small, regular check that reads as a dense charcoal grid across the surface. The mix of 59% cotton, 16% viscose, 14% polyester and 11% linen gives it a dry, lightly textured look with a subtle soft sheen in the darker threads. At approximately 138cm wide, it is a practical cloth for both upholstery and drapery where you want pattern without visual noise. The repeat is approximately V 2cm / H 2cm, which keeps the check neat and controlled, and the √CM fire code adds a useful specification for contract-minded projects.

How to use it

Use Azul Charcoal on tailored armchairs, banquettes or roman blinds where the compact check can sharpen a room without feeling busy. Its cool charcoal tone pairs well with pale oak, concrete finishes and crisp off-white walls.

A compact dark check that gives upholstery or curtains a tailored, understated edge.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
