Tokyo Cedar

Tokyo FabricL9440-14

Tokyo Cedar is a quietly saturated teal with a dry, textile-led surface and a subtle crosshatch of woven texture. The colour reads deep and cool, with just enough softness to keep it from feeling flat.

About this fabric

Woven in a 147cm width and made from 46% cotton, 29% viscose, 14% linen and 11% polyester, Tokyo Cedar has the balanced handle of a mid-weight decorative fabric. The cloth shows a fine, gently mottled weave rather than a printed effect, giving the surface a restrained depth that catches light without obvious sheen. Its deep teal tone sits between blue and green, with a muted cedar-like richness that feels calmer than a bright jewel shade. With a repeat of V 0cm / H 0cm approx, it presents as a plain-looking ground that is easy to place across upholstery or drapery schemes. The Q 8 + T 3 care code and √BM fire code support use in considered interior projects.

How to use it

Use Tokyo Cedar on an armchair or banquette where the muted teal can anchor warmer timbers and brass details. It also works well as full-length curtains, where the colour will appear slightly softer and more atmospheric in changing light.

A versatile teal with a dry linen-like handle that suits tailored seating or understated curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
