Royce Slate Blue is a calm, cool blue with a finely textured plain weave and a softly mottled surface. The shade reads as muted slate rather than bright sky, giving it an easy, tailored feel.

About this fabric

This colourway has a pale slate-blue cast with a slightly heathered, textile-dense appearance that softens the surface and keeps the finish refined. The cloth is composed of 39% Cotton, 24% Viscose, 24% Wool and 13% Polyamide, with an approximate width of 140cm and a repeat of V 0cm / H 0cm. That balanced blend gives the fabric a substantial but not heavy hand, and the visible weave suggests a versatile cloth that can suit both upholstery and drapery. Its cool tone sits between blue and grey, making it especially useful where a restrained colour is wanted without losing depth.

How to use it

Use Slate Blue on an accent chair, sofa or fitted blinds for a crisp, quietly contemporary look. It pairs particularly well with chalky whites, putty neutrals and smoked timber.

A cool, understated blue that works beautifully on tailored upholstery or lined curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
