About this fabric

This Shaw fabric from Colefax and Fowler is a 142cm-wide textile with no repeat, making the textured plain feel especially calm and versatile. Its blend of 59% viscose, 21% cotton, 12% polyester and 8% linen gives the cloth a slightly slubby, breathable look that suits the understated finish visible in the swatch. Dunsford Old Blue is a muted blue-grey with a misty, brushed appearance rather than a crisp or saturated tone. The surface catches the light in a very soft way, so the colour sits between cool blue and gentle stone-grey. Care code Q 8 < T 3 and fire code √BM are supplied for this exact fabric.

How to use it

Use this colourway where you want a calm, disciplined blue that does not overpower timber or painted joinery. It works well with chalky whites, pale oak and deeper navy accents.

A restrained blue-grey that feels calm and tailored in either upholstery or curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
