Sylph Cardinal

Wilderie Fabric FabricCCF0536-04

Sylph Cardinal is a saturated cardinal red with a clear raspberry-magenta undertone. Its close-up surface shows fine horizontal slubs and a delicate vertical grain, giving the colour gentle tonal movement rather than a flat finish.

About this fabric

This 93 gsm fabric has a fine, closely woven appearance that makes it particularly well suited to drapery and softly falling window treatments. The deep raspberry-red ground reads vivid and warm, while slight shifts in the weave create darker and lighter threads across the surface. With a 137 cm usable width and a 40 m standard length, it is practical for continuous curtain making. Both the vertical and horizontal pattern repeats are 0 cm, reflecting the uninterrupted plain woven field.

How to use it

Use Sylph Cardinal to bring a concentrated raspberry-red accent to curtains, blinds or a simple pelmet, balancing its saturated tone with chalky neutrals, warm timber or soft pinks. The subtle slub will add texture without introducing a separate motif.

Use this saturated cardinal-red weave for softly tailored curtains or relaxed Roman blinds.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
