About this fabric
This charcoal colourway is visually near-black and richly layered, with silver-grey gorilla figures framed by bright green leaves, teal botanical accents and copper-pink illustrated straps. The velvet construction has a supplied weight of 340 gsm, giving it the substantial presence expected for upholstery. Its vertical pattern repeat is 82.3 cm and horizontal repeat is 69 cm, so the large-scale artwork should be considered carefully when positioning gorilla and lantern motifs. The fabric has a 138 cm usable width and a standard length of 40 m.
How to use it
Use this deep charcoal velvet on a statement armchair, headboard or occasional sofa where the silverback figures can be shown prominently. Balance its cool dark ground with tobacco leather, aged brass and saturated green accessories to pick up the copper and foliage tones.
A dramatic charcoal velvet for statement upholstery, with vivid emerald foliage, silverback gorillas and copper-toned illustrated details.

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Silverback Velvet Charcoal without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
