Protea Velvet Coral
Wilderie Fabric VelvetCCF0522-03
Protea Velvet Coral sets Emma Shipley’s wildlife scene against a saturated coral-red ground, bringing striped big cats, spotted antelope and zebra into sharp focus. The dense velvet surface gives the illustrated design a softly shaded, tactile finish.

About this fabric
This 340gsm velvet is 138cm wide and features a substantial 64.4cm vertical by 69cm horizontal pattern repeat, making it especially suited to upholstery where the bold arrangement can be carefully positioned. The warm coral-red background is vivid rather than muted, with charcoal-black foliage and finely drawn botanical details creating strong contrast. Grey striped cats, spotted antelope and a zebra move through the repeat, while the velvet’s soft surface gently deepens the darker outlines and animal markings. With a standard length of 40 metres, it offers practical scope for coordinating multiple upholstered pieces within one scheme.
How to use it
Use the saturated coral-red on a statement armchair, ottoman or headboard, then echo the charcoal foliage with blackened timber, smoked metal or deep grey upholstery elsewhere in the room. Keep surrounding walls and plains restrained so the large wildlife repeat remains the focus.
Use this vivid coral-red velvet to turn a statement chair, headboard or ottoman into a richly illustrated focal point.

Pairs well with
A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Protea Velvet Coral without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
