Lynx Velvet Charcoal

Wilderie Fabric VelvetCCF0504-01

Lynx Velvet Charcoal sets an illustrated leopard and winged bird against a deep charcoal ground, with small stars and botanical forms scattered through the design. The near-black tone gives the detailed scene a nocturnal, richly theatrical quality.

About this fabric

This 340 gsm velvet has a substantial presence suited to upholstery, while its 138 cm usable width supports generous cutting plans. The charcoal background absorbs much of the light, allowing the olive-green leopard, muted gold foliage and dusky plum-grey feathers to emerge with layered depth. A vertical repeat of 86.6 cm and horizontal repeat of 69 cm frame the large-scale wildlife composition, so motif placement will be an important part of cutting and making up. The standard length is 40 m.

How to use it

Use this deep charcoal colourway on a statement armchair, headboard or occasional sofa where the olive leopard and muted gold details can be set against warm timber, aged brass or similarly dark finishes. Keep surrounding textiles quiet to let the nocturnal wildlife scene retain its visual depth.

A dramatic charcoal velvet for statement upholstery, with richly illustrated wildlife, foliage and celestial details.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
