About this fabric

This Harlequin Anthology Hibiki velvet is woven in a dense 820gsm construction, with 48 threads per centimetre and a useable width of 145.5cm. In the swatch, closely spaced horizontal ridges create a narrow 0.5cm vertical repeat, while the 0cm horizontal repeat keeps the effect continuous across the width. The lead tone reads cool and near-charcoal in the deeper areas, with muted bronze-gold lines catching the light rather than forming a bright contrast. Its substantial weight makes it particularly well suited to upholstery, where the ribbed surface can add depth to sofas, occasional chairs and headboards.

How to use it

Use Lead/Gold on a statement armchair or tailored sofa in a dark, elegant scheme, pairing the charcoal base with aged brass, smoked wood and warm stone. The restrained gold glint works especially well where directional light can reveal the velvet’s horizontal texture.
