About this fabric

This Zoffany velvet weighs 450gsm and has a useable width of 140cm, giving it the substantial handle expected of an upholstery cloth. The silver-grey colour reads cool and muted, while the nap catches the light in slightly lighter and darker vertical bands across the swatch. With 118 threads per centimetre, the surface appears dense and finely woven. Both pattern repeats are 0cm, so the plain design can be cut without motif matching; the standard length is 25m.

How to use it

Use Birodo Silver on a structured sofa, occasional chair or ottoman where its cool grey tone can soften warmer timber and stone. Pair it with brushed metal, pale oak or deeper charcoal accents to draw out the velvet’s restrained sheen.

The cool silver-grey velvet brings a softly reflective, tailored finish to sofas, chairs and ottomans.
