Pina de Indes Empire Grey

Arcadian Thames Wallpapers WallpaperZOW0131-03

Pina de Indes Empire Grey combines a pale, softly shaded grey ground with an ivory botanical damask of pineapples, curling leaves and fine engraved detail. The low-contrast palette keeps the ornate pattern light while preserving its formal character.

About this fabric

The visible design is built from repeating pineapple-like botanical emblems, layered with feathery leaves, berries and scrolling stems in ivory against the Empire Grey ground. Its muted grey tone reads cooler and quieter than a beige, while the pale motif catches the light with a gently chalky contrast. The supplied usable width is 137 cm, with a standard length of 0.91 m and a substantial 802 gsm specification. The vertical pattern repeat is 91.2 cm, with no horizontal repeat recorded.

How to use it

Use this soft Empire Grey colourway across a dining room, bedroom or entrance wall where its ivory foliage can read as a delicate architectural layer. Keep surrounding upholstery and paint in warm whites, stone and washed grey so the pattern’s pale contrast remains airy rather than stark.

Pair the pale grey ground and ivory damask with quiet neutral furnishings for a refined, collected interior.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
