Coromandel Print Empire Grey places airy, branching florals across a soft cream ground, with cool grey foliage and small touches of pale ochre. The generous repeat gives the delicate drawing a considered, spacious feel.

About this fabric

The printed design combines daisy-like blooms, fine stems and layered leaves in blue-grey and grey-green tones, while muted ochre highlights warm selected petals and flower centres. Its 265 gsm weight gives it a versatile mid-weight presence for both upholstery and drapery applications. The fabric has a 140 cm usable width, with a 74.5 cm vertical repeat and a 140 cm horizontal repeat, so the floral layout should be planned carefully across seams and widths. At 35.6 threads per cm, the cloth has a visibly substantial woven base beneath its finely detailed botanical print.

How to use it

Pair this cool Empire Grey colourway with chalky creams, weathered timber and soft blue-grey upholstery for a calm, collected room. Use it on full-length curtains where the 74.5 cm vertical repeat can unfold clearly, or introduce it through a statement chair and cushions.

Use the cool grey, cream and pale ochre palette to bring quiet pattern to curtains, cushions or occasional upholstery.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Coromandel Print Empire Grey without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
