About this fabric

This large-scale chinoiserie design has a 161 cm vertical repeat and a 141 cm horizontal repeat, creating an expansive arrangement of twisting branches, birds, flowers and scenic figures. The 141 cm usable width corresponds to the full horizontal repeat, allowing the illustrated composition to read broadly across upholstery. At 402 gsm with 22 threads per cm, the supplied specification indicates a substantial textile suited to upholstery applications. In this colourway, the charcoal linework feels softened against the pale cream ground, while the small ochre accents prevent the overall effect from becoming stark.

How to use it

Pair the cream and charcoal ground with warm timber, aged brass and blue-grey upholstery accents to echo the pattern’s muted secondary tones. Its 161 cm vertical repeat is best given room to show on a feature chair, headboard or generously scaled sofa.
