About this fabric

The pattern combines twisting branches, small blue blossoms, ochre flowers and miniature figures arranged in elevated garden and riverside scenes. Its cream background keeps the colourway light, while the moss, olive, faded blue and brown detailing creates depth without becoming harsh or highly saturated. At 402 gsm and 22 threads per cm, this is a substantial textile suited to upholstery, with a 141 cm usable width. The pattern repeat measures 161 cm vertically by 141 cm horizontally, so the full scenic composition should be considered when positioning it.

How to use it

Pair this colourway with warm woods, aged brass and quiet linen tones to echo its cream ground, or use it on a statement chair where the blue figures and curling green branches can be seen at close range.

Use this richly detailed cream, moss and blue colourway on statement upholstery where its expansive chinoiserie scenes can be fully appreciated.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
