About this fabric

The heavy 691gsm construction makes this a strong upholstery choice, while the closely packed embroidery gives the cloth a substantial, tactile presence. Its dark teal and blue-green ground is punctuated by irregular vertical bands of olive, sage, turquoise and warm tan, with stepped edges that create a distinctive geometric rhythm. The pattern repeats every 46.5cm vertically and 43cm horizontally, allowing the design to build into a dense all-over field. Supplied at a 131cm usable width and a standard 40m length, it is well suited to considered upholstery schemes where its depth of colour can be fully appreciated.

How to use it

Use this Serpentine colourway on a statement armchair, ottoman or compact sofa, pairing its dark teal ground with aged brass, walnut and warm neutral walls. Pick out the olive and tan motifs with plain cushions or trims rather than introducing another busy pattern.

A richly textured, heavy embroidered textile that brings deep teal, olive and tan pattern to upholstered seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
