About this fabric

The large-scale indienne pattern is filled with recognisable floral heads, scrolling branches and delicate fern-like leaves, all picked out against the dark teal ground. Rust, muted coral, stone, cream and olive accents create a warm, softly weathered contrast to the cooler blue base, while the visible surface has a closely woven, finely textured appearance. This 205gsm fabric has a usable width of 136.5cm, with a substantial 166cm vertical repeat and a 136.5cm horizontal repeat that call for deliberate pattern placement. It is supplied in a standard 60m length and has 40 threads per cm.

How to use it

Use the deep blue-teal background as the room’s anchoring colour on curtains, a statement chair or a headboard. Echo its rust, coral and stone motifs through piping, cushions or painted furniture to bring out the warmer details without losing the pattern’s cool depth.

Use the deep blue-teal ground to anchor an upholstered chair, curtain scheme or statement headboard, then pick up the rust and stone floral accents in plain accessories.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Indienne Print Blue/Koi without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
