Cosmati Embroidery modification combines a pale, chalky ground with tightly packed serrated vertical motifs in sage, dusty teal, blush pink, cream and taupe. The layered colours create a softly weathered, tapestry-like impression, while the dense surface gives the design clear visual depth.

About this fabric

This substantial Zoffany fabric weighs 691 gsm and has a useable width of 131 cm, making it particularly well suited to upholstery. Its 46.5 cm vertical and 43 cm horizontal repeats organise the small, staggered motifs without losing the impression of an all-over field. Muted sage and blue-green shapes provide the coolest notes, punctuated by faded rose, warm cream and pale taupe. The closely worked 308 threads-per-cm construction gives the swatch a compact, finely textured appearance rather than a loose or fluid drape.

How to use it

Use this colourway on a statement armchair, sofa or footstool where its softened sage, teal and blush palette can sit alongside chalky neutrals, pale timber and aged finishes. Repeat one of the dusty blue-green tones in a plain cushion or painted accent to draw out the cooler threads.

A substantial, finely detailed woven pattern that brings softened colour and graphic movement to upholstered pieces.
