Cosmati Embroidery Ink / Tigers Eye is a dense, directional textile filled with serrated vertical motifs in ink blue, ochre, rust, cream and charcoal. The deep blue ground gives the colourway a cool, shadowed depth, while the warmer accents catch the light across the surface.

About this fabric

At 691gsm with 308 threads per cm, this is a substantial, closely woven fabric with the visual and physical weight to suit upholstery. Its 131cm usable width offers practical coverage for furniture, while the 46.5cm vertical and 43cm horizontal pattern repeats give the lively motif a defined rhythm. The design is composed of small, irregular tree- or feather-like forms, layered in cream, ochre, golden brown, muted red and blue-black against the ink ground. Tigers Eye feels atmospheric rather than bright: the warm rust and ochre details emerge from the cooler blue field without losing its deep, tailored character.

How to use it

Use this colourway on a statement armchair, ottoman or sofa where its ink-blue depth can anchor a room. Pick up the ochre and rust accents with plain cushions or painted timber, keeping surrounding surfaces quieter so the dense motif remains legible.
