About this fabric

Woven in 100% polyester and supplied at 137 cm wide, Smith Document is a practical striped fabric for both curtaining and upholstery. The design repeats in an H34 x V Stripe pattern, creating a strong vertical rhythm that reads clearly in this colourway. Dark charcoal and near-black bands give the stripe a grounded base, while coral-red, wine and olive accents add warmth and contrast. With a Martindale rub test of 60,000+, it is well suited to hard-working seating as well as statement drapes.

How to use it

The deep dark ground makes this a good choice for upholstered dining chairs, a bench, or tailored curtains where you want the stripe to feel crisp rather than playful. Pair it with warm wood, muted brass and plain neutrals so the burgundy and olive notes stay the focus.
