Pulse Charcoal

Tempo Velvets VelvetCCF0025-03

Pulse Charcoal reads as a deep, warm charcoal rather than a flat black. Its dense velvet surface is covered by a fine, irregular cellular motif, with lighter pile catching across the lower part of the swatch.

About this fabric

At 627 gsm, this is a substantial velvet with a visibly dense, tactile handle suited to upholstery. The 22 cm vertical and 6.5 cm horizontal repeats keep the small, pebble-like pattern close and finely scaled across a cover. Against the charcoal-brown ground, the irregular outlines create a mineral-like surface, while variations in the pile soften the contrast and prevent the colour from looking uniform. The 143 cm usable width and 40 m standard length provide the supplied basis for planning larger upholstery projects.

How to use it

Use this warm charcoal-brown colourway to give a chair, sofa or ottoman a grounded, quietly dramatic finish. Its fine cellular texture works particularly well with dark timber, aged metal and lighter neutral walls that pick up the softer grey-brown tones.

A deep, tactile charcoal velvet that brings subtle pattern and tonal depth to upholstered seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
