Olav Charcoal

Soren Fabric FabricCCF0677-02

Olav Charcoal pairs an inky charcoal ground with broken ivory bands that form tightly repeated, undulating arch shapes. Its visibly nubby weave gives the monochrome colourway depth rather than a flat printed appearance.

About this fabric

This heavy 513 gsm woven fabric is suited to upholstery, where its dense construction and pronounced surface texture can be appreciated. Charcoal-black and soft ivory yarns create a small-scale geometric rhythm of wave-like arches, with irregular flecks that soften the high contrast. The pattern repeats every 2.8 cm vertically and 7 cm horizontally across the 142 cm usable width. A standard length of 30 m makes it practical for coordinating multiple upholstered pieces in the same colourway.

How to use it

Use Olav Charcoal on a statement armchair, dining seats or a tailored sofa where its cool, near-black tone can anchor a room. Balance the graphic weave with warm timber, aged brass or softly coloured plains to keep the ivory detailing from feeling stark.

Use this cool charcoal-and-ivory weave to give upholstered seating a graphic, textural finish.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
