Alberte Charcoal

Vardo Sheers Fabric FabricCCF0655-01

Alberte Charcoal is a fine sheer in a pale, cool grey, crossed by delicate charcoal lines that form an open checked grid. Small warm tan and brown flecks interrupt the quiet ground, giving the colourway a gently weathered character.

About this fabric

The 77gsm cloth has a light, translucent appearance, making its closely woven horizontal texture and raised vertical threads particularly visible in the swatch. Its charcoal detailing reads as soft linear accents rather than a dark solid base, while occasional ochre, taupe and brown marks add subtle warmth. The checked structure has an 8cm vertical repeat and a 9.3cm horizontal repeat, creating a measured medium-scale pattern. With a generous 305cm useable width and a 40m standard length, it is well suited to broad, softly structured curtain drops.

How to use it

Pair this pale charcoal-grey colourway with chalky whites, weathered timber and muted taupe upholstery. Hang it wide and full so the translucent ground and fine warm flecks soften daylight without making the room feel heavy.

Use this airy pale-grey check for full-height curtains where its fine grid and warm flecks can catch the light.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Alberte Charcoal without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
