About this fabric

Stratford Sand from the Roscoe collection by Colefax and Fowler is a 140cm approx fabric with no set repeat, making its subtle woven texture the main visual feature. The cloth blends 59% viscose, 16% polyester, 15% cotton and 10% linen, which helps create the softly lustrous, slightly dry hand visible in the swatch. In this colourway, the beige base is lifted by faintly mottled tonal shifts that keep it from feeling one-note, giving the surface a warm, sun-baked character. It has a composed, smart finish that suits interiors needing a neutral with more depth than a flat stone or cream.

How to use it

Use it on sofas, banquettes or dining chairs where a warm beige can soften stronger woods and darker accents. It also works well with natural linen blinds, aged brass and clay or oat tones for a calm, layered palette.

A warm, grounded neutral that works neatly on tailored upholstery or understated curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
