Colefax and Fowler

Stratford Navy

Roscoe FabricF3831-19

Stratford Navy is a quietly textured slate-blue navy with a softened, mineral look. Its surface shows a fine woven character rather than a flat solid, giving the colour gentle movement across the cloth.

About this fabric

This Roscoe fabric from Colefax and Fowler is woven as a plain with no repeat, which lets the yarn texture and colour blend take centre stage. The composition of 59% viscose, 16% polyester, 15% cotton and 10% linen gives the cloth a slightly nubby, softly irregular finish that reads more tailored than polished. In this colourway, the navy is muted with a cool grey cast, so it feels deeper and less glossy than a bright blue. At approximately 140cm wide and with a √BH fire code, it is a versatile textile for schemes that want the formality of navy without a harsh edge.

How to use it

Use it on a sofa or armchair where the slate navy can anchor lighter walls and timber finishes. It also makes a smart curtain choice in rooms that need a darker, calmer colour with subtle texture rather than shine.

A refined slate navy that works cleanly across tailored upholstery and elegant curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
