Royce Blue is a quietly tailored plain with a cool slate-blue tone and a lightly mottled surface. The weave reads clean and even, with enough texture to keep the colour from looking flat.

About this fabric

This Royce colourway has a muted blue-grey cast that feels calm and refined rather than bright or coastal. The surface shows a fine vertical slub and a soft, woven grain, which suits the fabric’s balanced composition of 39% cotton, 24% viscose, 24% wool and 13% polyamide. At approximately 140cm wide, and with no repeat to interrupt the cloth, it presents as an easy, contemporary plain for upholstery or drapery. The cool depth of the blue sits neatly in the weave, giving the cloth a smart, understated finish. Care code Q 8 + T 3 and fire code √BH are supplied for this exact fabric.

How to use it

Use Royce Blue where you want a restrained blue that feels more tailored than vivid, especially against pale oak, limestone or chalky whites. It would also anchor a room scheme with brass, ink, or soft grey accents.

A versatile slate-blue cloth with a soft, tailored look for upholstery or curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
