Stratford Dark Blue

Roscoe FabricF3831-23

Stratford Dark Blue is a quietly tonal blue with a finely textured surface and a deep, muted finish. The weave gives the colour gentle movement, so it reads layered rather than flat.

About this fabric

This colourway shows a dense, small-scale woven texture in a cool dark blue that sits between navy and slate. Its surface has a subtle speckled effect from the blend of 59% viscose, 16% polyester, 15% cotton and 10% linen, which softens the depth of the shade. With a width of approximately 140cm and a repeat of V 0cm / H 0cm approx, it is a practical plain-style cloth for tailored interiors. The overall look is smart and composed, with enough texture to keep the dark tone from feeling heavy.

How to use it

Use this dark blue to ground a scheme with pale oak, chalk white or brushed metal details, where the cool depth will sharpen the room. It is especially effective on upholstered pieces or relaxed drapery that benefits from a quieter, textured finish.

A restrained blue with enough texture to add depth on both upholstery and curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
