About this fabric

Stratford Taupe from the Roscoe collection by Colefax and Fowler is a 140cm wide fabric composed of 59% viscose, 16% polyester, 15% cotton and 10% linen. It has no repeat, which keeps the surface reading as an even, understated plain rather than a decorative weave. In the image, the colour sits between beige and grey with a gentle warm cast, creating a muted taupe that feels grounded and versatile. The finish appears subtly matte with fine cross-thread texture, giving it enough body for upholstery while still feeling composed for window treatments.

How to use it

Use this warm taupe to soften clean-lined upholstery, especially where you want the texture to bring interest instead of pattern. It pairs naturally with oak, stone, chalk white and deeper brown accents for a restrained, layered room.

A quietly tailored taupe that works well across upholstery and relaxed drapery schemes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
