Stratford Tomato

Roscoe FabricF3831-12

Stratford Tomato is a tightly woven plain with a warm, peppery red tone that reads lively without feeling overly bright. The finish has a softly mottled depth, giving the colour a more tailored, textile-rich look.

About this fabric

This colourway shows a warm tomato red with subtle terracotta undertones and a gently heathered surface from the woven fibres. It is composed of 59% viscose, 16% polyester, 15% cotton and 10% linen, giving the cloth a smooth but slightly dry-handled appearance rather than a glossy finish. The repeat is vertical and horizontal zero, so the interest comes from the weave and colour movement rather than pattern. At approximately 140cm wide, it is a versatile fabric for both upholstered pieces and curtains, with the fabric’s smart, lightly textured handle suited to refined everyday use.

How to use it

Use Stratford Tomato to bring heat to a neutral sofa, pair it with warm woods and brass, or soften it with linen and oatmeal accents. The tomato-red tone is strong enough for an accent chair yet still works well as relaxed drapery in a room with cream walls.

A lively tomato red that brings warmth and energy to tailored upholstery or elegant curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
