Elsworthy Heather

Harlequin x Henry Holland Moire FabricHAF0583-09

Elsworthy Heather combines a pale, cool grey ground with irregular vertical moiré lines that ripple across the surface. The closely woven pattern has a softly tactile, almost pebble-like appearance in the swatch.

About this fabric

This textile is 148cm wide, with a 55.8cm vertical repeat and a 50.8cm horizontal repeat, giving the organic vertical design a clear but gently shifting rhythm. Its 161 gsm weight and 141 threads per cm indicate a finely constructed, versatile cloth suited to both upholstery and drapery applications. The heathered grey tone stays light and muted, while the pale contrast within the winding motifs adds depth without becoming stark. Seen up close, the alternating lines and small rounded forms create a softened moiré effect rather than a rigid stripe.

How to use it

Use Elsworthy Heather to bring cool, quiet texture to a pale sitting room, pairing its soft grey tone with chalky whites, stone, silvered timber or deeper charcoal accents. Its vertical movement would work particularly well on curtains, while the restrained scale can also upholster a contemporary chair or occasional seat.

Use this pale heather grey moiré as a light, textural layer on seating, blinds or curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
