Elsworthy Bisque

Harlequin x Henry Holland Moire FabricHAF0583-12

Elsworthy Bisque presents a pale bisque-grey ground crossed by slender vertical columns of rippled, eye-shaped moiré pattern. Its softly contrasting light and shadow give the neutral colourway gentle depth without making it feel busy.

About this fabric

The woven design forms repeated vertical bands of irregular oval and wave-like contours, with the raised-looking pale pattern catching the light against a slightly deeper greige base. At 161 gsm and 141 threads per cm, it has a fine, closely made appearance that feels light enough for drapery while remaining suitable for versatile upholstery applications. The 148 cm usable width allows the pattern to read continuously across wider drops or panels. Pattern matching should account for the 55.8 cm vertical repeat and 50.8 cm horizontal repeat.

How to use it

Use this warm, chalky greige on a compact occasional chair, headboard or full-length curtain where its vertical pattern can add quiet rhythm. Pair it with ivory, pale timber and soft taupe rather than stark white to preserve the Bisque tone.

A softly textured neutral with vertical moiré movement, suited to upholstery, curtains and relaxed contemporary schemes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
