Basketweave Russet is a closely woven textile in a warm, dusty terracotta shade. Its tiny crosshatched surface gives the colour gentle depth, with fine lighter threads visible across the russet ground.

About this fabric

Made from 100% cotton, this 137 cm-wide fabric has a neat basketweave texture rather than a printed motif. The compact weave reads as a muted russet terracotta, warm and softly earthy rather than bright red, with subtle tonal variation where the threads catch the light. Its vertical pattern repeat is 12 cm and its horizontal repeat is 16 cm. It is specified for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads; after-care is professional dry cleaning only, with no washing, bleaching or ironing.

How to use it

Use the warm russet tone to bring depth to an armchair, headboard or loose cover, pairing it with aged timber, tobacco leather and creamy neutrals. As curtains, its fine woven texture can soften a room without introducing a strong graphic pattern.
