Wilde Stripe Spice

Mulberry Long Weekend FabricFD2007.T30

Wilde Stripe Spice combines narrow rust and brown bands with fine sage, cream and muted blue-green detailing. The close-set vertical pattern has a richly woven, tactile appearance, while the warm spice ground gives the colourway considerable depth.

About this fabric

Made from 67% viscose and 33% linen, this 138 cm wide fabric features closely spaced vertical stripes with an 11.5 cm horizontal pattern repeat. The dominant rust-spice tone is softened by earthy brown lines and slim sage, cream and blue-green motifs, creating a layered rather than flat stripe. Its finely textured surface catches the light subtly across the alternating bands. It is suitable for curtains, loose upholstery, fixed upholstery and bedspreads; care instructions specify professional dry cleaning only, with no washing, bleaching or ironing.

How to use it

Use the rust-spice ground to warm a traditional or relaxed sitting room, pairing it with aged wood, tobacco leather or muted sage paint. The narrow vertical stripes would bring definition to a chair, upholstered headboard or full-length curtains without overwhelming the room.

A warm, finely detailed stripe that brings rust, brown, sage and cream together across upholstery, curtains and bedspreads.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Wilde Stripe Spice without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
