Extravagence Saffron

Idyllic Fabrics FabricHAF0236-02

Extravagence Saffron pairs a warm saffron-mustard ground with dense charcoal-grey fern fronds and branching botanical lines. The close, repeating tracery gives the colourway a layered, graphic presence while retaining the brightness of the golden base.

About this fabric

This 340 gsm woven fabric has a softly textured, matte appearance, with charcoal botanical marks clearly defined against the ochre-saffron ground. Fern leaves, stems and small branching forms overlap across the surface, creating a lively but controlled all-over design. The pattern measures 62.5 cm vertically by 70 cm horizontally, giving the motif a medium-scale rhythm across the 142 cm usable width. With its substantial cloth weight, this colourway is suited to both upholstery and drapery applications where a warm, graphic botanical is wanted.

How to use it

Use the saffron ground to warm a reading nook, dining seat or full-length curtain, balancing it with charcoal, aged wood, olive and softly chalky neutrals. The muted golden tone works particularly well where the fern pattern can be seen across a broad upholstered or curtained surface.

A warm saffron botanical that brings graphic charcoal definition to upholstery, curtains and relaxed contemporary interiors.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Extravagence Saffron without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
